Apply ONE def to the live composition — create/adopt the node, then instantiate/adopt its components. Exported as the single-arc primitive: document evaluation loops over it, and the op-bridge APPLICATOR applies a creation op's carried def through exactly this function (one implementation, plans/operation-bridge.md fixture 2).
