AI credits and top-ups

Top up your AI credits to keep chatting after you use your monthly AI allowance. A top-up is a one-time purchase, separate from your subscription.

Buy AI credits

  1. Sign in to Needle Cloud and select the team or personal account you want to top up.
  2. Open Insights and choose Top up AI credits next to AI usage. You can also use the top-up button in chat when your monthly allowance is nearly used or exhausted.
  3. Review the pack and price at checkout, then complete your purchase.

Credits belong to the account selected for the purchase. Check that you have selected the intended team before paying.

How long are credits valid?

Purchased credits are valid for 365 days from purchase. Unused credits carry across monthly allowance resets until their expiry date. Buying another pack does not extend the validity of an earlier pack.

Your plan's monthly allowance resets each month; a purchased pack keeps its own expiry date.

When are credits used?

Your monthly AI allowance is used first. Purchased credits cover AI usage beyond that allowance. When the monthly allowance resets, it is used first again, preserving any remaining purchased credits until needed or expired.

For a team chat, the team's purchased credits are used first. If those run out, the person sending the message can also use their personal credits. Other team members' personal credits are not pooled. Within each account, packs expiring soonest are used first.

How much chatting does a pack cover?

There is no fixed number of messages per pack. Usage depends on the model, conversation length, and work performed. Longer conversations and more demanding requests can use more credits.

Does a top-up change my plan?

A top-up is a one-time purchase and does not start a recurring subscription. It adds AI credits to your selected account; your plan's features and other limits still apply. It does not add storage or asset optimization capacity.
